Most weekends we are in screening rooms across Braamfontein, Rosebank and Maboneng, so replies can take up to a week. If your note is time-sensitive, say so in the subject line.
No financial speculation, adult content, gambling or crypto framing. Pitches outside that scope will not be published, however well written.
We do not run a walk-in office. The journal is put together between screenings, so the address below is where post and deliveries reach us, and the phone is answered when nobody is threading a reel.
Deliveries and in-person drop-offs are best arranged in advance by email. If you are sending a screening note or a pitch, the contact page form and the editorial address both reach the same inbox.
We read everything that lands here, usually on a Monday after a weekend of screenings. If you were in the room when something went right or sideways, we want the specifics: the venue, the format, the date, and one honest paragraph about what you actually saw or heard. Projectionists, programmers, students and regular filmgoers across Gauteng are all welcome to write in.
Every published contributor is credited by name. Replies can take about a week, since most of the crew is in a booth or a queue somewhere between Thursday and Sunday. The form does not accept attachments, so paste any links or text directly into your message.
